Bottoms That Move with Your Day
Mati's women's bottoms cover a fair bit of ground: balloon pants, cargo styles, culottes, wide-leg trousers, shorts. All of it is cut from natural cotton, all made on order in India. The idea isn't to chase whatever's trending this month. It's more than a single pair should work at a desk on Monday and get thrown in a bag for a weekend trip on Friday. Somewhere between structured and relaxed, built for wearing often, not saving for one occasion.
Why Choose Mati Bottoms?
Every pair is handcrafted from 100% cotton, which matters more than it sounds like it should once you've worn it through an Indian summer. Production stays small, closer to a workshop setup than a factory floor, and sizing goes from XS all the way to 7XL, so fit isn't something you have to hope for. The stitching holds up too. These aren't pants that fall apart after a few washes and get replaced next season.
Styling Ideas
Wide-leg pants are an easy one. Throw on a fitted top, some flats, and you're set for a normal office day or brunch, doesn't really matter which. Straight trousers work harder, though; they can survive a morning meeting and then dinner after, no outfit change needed. If it's actually hot out (and in most of India, it usually is), just let the cotton breathe and don't overdo the rest of the outfit. Culottes and shorts are what I'd pack for a trip, honestly; they fold flat, barely crease, and stiffer fabric just can't compete there.
Fabric & Craft
Slow fashion is the whole point here. No bulk production, no racks made ahead to chase a trend. Pieces are woven and stitched by hand, in small batches, on order. That's why the cotton softens with wear instead of thinning out, and why no two runs ever look quite the same.
