Styling Ideas

Wide-leg pants are an easy one. Throw on a fitted top, some flats, and you're set for a normal office day or brunch, doesn't really matter which. Straight trousers work harder, though; they can survive a morning meeting and then dinner after, no outfit change needed. If it's actually hot out (and in most of India, it usually is), just let the cotton breathe and don't overdo the rest of the outfit. Culottes and shorts are what I'd pack for a trip, honestly; they fold flat, barely crease, and stiffer fabric just can't compete there.
